Piglet - "Lava Land"

Hailing from Chicago, you can certainly hear a certain Kinsella influence going on in Piglets sound, but as an instrumental group they push more towards the experimentation of math bands like Tera Melos and Giraffes? Giraffes! it's almost as if Owls had a jam session with Lightning Bolt, and as true with any math band the drumming is especially tight, following complex and crazy song stuctures.
This is an upload of their only release before breaking up, Lava Land, with a couple of other songs thrown in for good measure (Mad Science is especially amazing!)

Clean guitars, soaring melodies and screamed/talked vocals make for a record that's both textured and emotive. After a couple of DIY demos, Age Sixteen have finally released a full-length that's hopefully going to get them a lot of well-deserved attention.
